Enjoyed watching the Rodeo from the vantage of the Sponsor VIP area. The action is much closer. Just wish the light was better. Did not use any flash on Wednesday night. I had to push the ISO up to 3200 and kept the shutter speed below 250. This means I had to deal with quite a bit of noise and delete a lot of photos because of too much motion blur but am happy with the results.

I took a break when Kennewick and Southridge took to the mat against each other and came back in time to get pictures of this meet. After the practice I had from the prior meet, this one was a bit easier. It seemed the referee loved to stand in front of me, but I am sure that it is just when I have an opportunity for a great shot, that is also a great place for the ref to be observing from as well.
Will see if the wrestlers appreciate these photos (are the kids ‘tagging’ them on Facebook and are parents buying any on Smugmug).
If you saw me taking pictures at an event, the photos I took will show up here. It does take me a while to process the photos I take. Besides going in and deleting the ones that are obviously out of focus or blurry and culling the weak shots, I also try to straighten, crop, and tweak the photos that make the cut before putting them online.
